About Letters to the Editor
Thank you for your interest in writing a Letter to the Editor. We welcome letters on any subject and responses to articles printed in our Editorial and Opinion pages. Please read the requirements listed below to ensure your letter will NOT BE REJECTED.
Requirements Letters received after 3 P.M. TUESDAY will NOT BE PUBLISHED UNTIL THE FOLLOWING WEEK.
LETTERS SUBMITTED IN ALL CAPS WILL BE REJECTED.
Letters containing more than 250 words MAY BE PUBLISHED ONLINE ONLY due to space limitations.
Letters containing handwriting that is not legible WILL BE REJECTED.
Letters containing defamation, slander, profanity, or unverifiable facts WILL BE REJECTED.
Types of Submissions There are three (3) ways to submit your Letter to the Editor:
1.) BY MAIL: Simply mail us your letter to the editor with your phone number so we can verify your identity.
2.) BY E-MAIL: Simply e-mail us your letter to the editor with your phone number so we can verify your identity.
3.) IN PERSON: Please stop by the office during business hours with your Letter to the Editor.
