To the Editor:

A community’s priorities are reflected in the quality and integrity of its elected officials. I had the privilege of serving the Fillmore community for 14 years as a teacher and school leader at Sespe School and Fillmore Middle School. During this time, I was fortunate to work alongside Ms. Tricia Gradias, who was not only my principal but also became a valued colleague when I transitioned to a school site administrator.

Throughout our collaboration, Tricia consistently demonstrated herself as a fierce advocate for students and their families. She prioritized their needs and posed challenging questions that led to improved academic and social-emotional opportunities for children.

Although I am no longer part of FUSD, I remain connected to the community and stay informed about the district’s progress—much of which is a testament to Tricia’s dedication as a trustee. With 24 years of experience as an educator, I wholeheartedly endorse Ms. Tricia Gradias for her continued leadership on the FUSD Board. She exemplifies integrity, transparency, and accountability.

The students and families of Fillmore and Piru deserve a trustee who will fiercely represent their interests, and they have that in Tricia Gradias.
