It is with heavy hearts and deep sadness that the family of Luis Villasenor announces his passing on Saturday, May 5th, 2018 after a sudden and unexpected death.
Luis was born October 1, 1947 in Santa Paula, CA. He was the son of Herculano & Enriqueta Villasenor. He grew up in FILLMORE, CA were he resided until his time of death. Luis loved FILLMORE, he often referred to it as “God’s Country”. He attended and graduated from Chaminade High School. He was drafted into the Vietnam War in 1967 where he served for 2 years in the army. Upon returning from the war he met and married his best friend and the love of his life Pauline Tafoya Villasenor. They were married for 46 years. During those 46 years they were blessed with 4 beautiful children. Samantha, Louie Jr., Patrick, & Stacey. Luis was employed by the City of FILLMORE Public works where he worked for 34 years, and eventually retired in 2009.
After his retirement with plenty of time on his hands, he threw himself into his ministry. He enjoyed talking to people about Jehovah God and all of the blessing that the Bible foretells. All who knew him, knew what an avid sport fan he was. Luis loved the Rams, San Francisco Giants and Lakers. He knew all the stats and was always up to date on the latest trades and signing. Luis loved to watch his old westerns and classic movies. He enjoyed life to the fullest, but was always up for a good nap. Above all Luis loved to spend time with his family. His grandchildren were his pride and joy. He attended all dance recitals, band performance, school functions and football games. Luis loved to talk to the kids in his infamous “Donald Duck Voice”. He loved to tease them and get them in trouble. He loved spoiling and spending time with them, going to the movies and taking turns picking out where to eat for dinner. He enjoyed going to the Rams games with his brother sons and grandsons.
Any time he was with his family and friends he would have a huge smile on his faces a smile that will be deeply missed by all.
He was preceded in death by his parents Herculano and Enriqueta Villasenor and nephew Alex Villasenor. He is survived by His wife Pauline Tafoya Villasenor, and daughter Samantha ( Son in Law Stephen ) Dick, Son Louie Jr ( Daughter in Law Ines ) Villasenor, Son Patrick ( Daughter in Law Aime ) Villasenor, Daughter Stacey ( Son in Law Ivan ) Richey. Brother David ( Sister in Law Sharon ) Villasenor, Brother Rick ( Sister in Law Christine ) Villasenor, Brother Victor Villasenor, Sister Rebecca ( Brother in Law Alex ) Zuarte, Sister Virginia ( Brother in Law ) Rick Wilson, Brother Andy ( Sister in Law )Joann Villasenor, Sister Judith ( Brother in Law ) Alfonso, Brother Albert ( Sister in Law ) Christina Villasenor. And numerous nephews and nieces.
