Marguerite Barbara Bartels Gregory was born to Dederich Frederich Heinrich and Frieda Bartels Oct. 11, 1912 in Bardsdale, CA and entered into glory with her Lord on March 6, 2011. Her long and productive life reflected her heritage of wonderful parents and eleven siblings of which she was the youngest. She married Wilson Gregory on March 25, 1938 and they had 3 girls; Barbara (Bill), Judy (Lin) and Marie (Mike). She is also survived by 10 grandkids and 28 great grand children and 3 great great grandchildren. Marguerite’s life reflected the Christian morals, ethics and values that she modeled and taught to her growing family. To her many student subjects she loved during her many years serving as a secretary at the Fillmore Junior High School; and her years as secretary with Fillmore First Presbyterian church. As a wife of a farmer, oilfield worker and carpenter Marguerite certainly nurtured her family, helping to support her girls many activities and has certainly earned the admiration, respect and honor that her family has shown for her throughout her long life.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, March 9, 2011 at 10am at Bardsdale Cemetery with a Memorial Service following at 11am at Bardsdale United Methodist Church.
