Governor Schwarzenegger Issues Statement on Death of Los Angeles Marine

Arnold Schwarzenegger California State Governor Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger today issued the following statement regarding the death of Pfc. Jake W. Suter of Los Angeles, CA: “Maria and I were deeply saddened to learn of the death of Private First Class Jake Suter. His sacrifice and commitment to our country is a true demonstration of heroism, and will not be forgotten. We join all Californians in sending our condolences to his loved ones during this difficult time.” Suter, 18, died May 29 while supporting combat operations in Helmand province, Afghanistan. He was assigned to 3rd Battalion, 3rd Marine Regiment, 3rd Marine Division, III Marine Expeditionary Force, U.S. Marine Corps, Kaneohe Bay, Hawaii. In honor of Pfc. Suter, Capitol flags will be flown at half-staff. |
