Ventura, CA. – The beautiful Veterans Home of California in Ventura will hold their Third Annual COMMUNITY GARAGE SALE on Saturday, August 18 from 8 a.m. until 1 p.m. at 10900 Telephone Road (at Wells Road), Ventura.

There are two great ways to participate! Purchase a selling space, approximately

8’ x 10’ as space allows, for a $20 donation to the Veterans Home of California–Ventura and sell your own items! Reserve your spot by August 10! Or just come on over and pick up a fantastic bargain! Clothing, small furniture items, craft supplies, knickknacks and other fun and useful items will be available.

“I would like to thank the local communities and Veteran Service Organizations for their support of our Community Garage Sale over the past two years,” said Brenda Manke, Ventura Veterans Home Director. “We look forward to a great turnout this year as well and I encourage everyone to come out and support our wonderful Veterans!”

Manke explained that all proceeds from the Community Garage Sale will go the Veterans Home residents’ Morale, Welfare and Recreation Fund and be used for such things as special trips, recreational equipment or supplies, movie and theater tickets, and much more.
