Oscar Carrillo of Fillmore passed away peacefully at his home on Friday March 23, 2012 with his family by his side. Oscar was born on Oct. 31, 1929.
He was married to the love of his life Virginia for 52 years. He attended Fillmore high School. He was drafted to the Minor league as a pitcher but was unable to attend due to his father’s death. His favorite teams were the Dodgers, Lakers, Rams and UCLA Bruins (he loved his sports) . One of his passions was bowling. He started bowling at the age of 17, in 1996 he was recognized by CSBA Association.
He is survived by his sister Sally Espinoza, brothers Victor and Paul Carrillo. Wife Virginia, sons Frank, Felix (Arlene), Tommy (Kim), Alex and six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. He retired from Egg City at the age of 64. He loved to dance, camp, and travel
with his wife and numerous friends. He will be deeply missed by his family.
Visitation will take place on Tuesday March 27, 2012 at 4 p.m. at Skillin-Carroll Chapel with a Rosary being held at 7 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday March 28, 2012 at 10 a.m. at St. Francis of Assisi Church.
