VENTURA, CA – District Attorney Gregory D. Totten announced that Maynard Lee Allen (DOB 9/7/61), of Oxnard, pled guilty today to second-degree murder for the May 16, 2015, killing of William Randal Tully in a residential care home in the city Oxnard. Allen also admitted personally using a metal shovel as a dangerous and deadly weapon during the commission of the murder and having a prior strike conviction from the state of Washington.

Sentencing is set for November 7, 2016, at 3:00 p.m. in courtroom 13 of the Ventura Superior Court, County of Ventura. Allen will be sentenced to 31 years to life in prison.
