Arrest of Felon in Possession of a Firearm

William Glass, 28 yrs, Oxnard. On July 22, 2011, deputies assigned to the Camarillo Special Enforcement Detail received information regarding the existence of a felony arrest warrant for Oxnard resident William Glass. Although Glass resides in Oxnard, he has been known to frequent the city of Camarillo. Glass is currently on parole and is a documented Oxnard gang member. According to additional information, Glass is known to carry firearms and is considered armed and dangerous. At approximately 1500 hours, deputies located and arrested Glass in the 1200 Block of Escalon Drive in the city of Oxnard. During the arrest, Glass was found to be in possession of a loaded handgun, ammunition, and a small quantity of methamphetamine. Glass was booked at the Ventura County Main Jail for the felony warrant, felon in possession of a firearm and ammunition, possession of a controlled substance, and street gang terrorism.
