Arrest of Multiple Subjects on Drug Related Charges

Ventura County Sheriff's Department On July 23, 2011, deputies assigned to the Thousand Oaks Special Enforcement Unit conducted a probation search of a home in Thousand Oaks. Upon entry, deputies contacted several subjects in the house. During a protective sweep of the home, deputies located two additional subjects hiding in the garage area that had been converted into a living area. After identifying the subjects at the location, deputies discovered they, too, were on probation for various charges. A K-9 also assisted with probation searches. The K-9 located methamphetamine, marijuana, and several different items of drug paraphernalia. Subsequently, six subjects were arrested for various drug charges, including sections 11377(a), 11550(a), and 11375(b)(2) of the Health & Safety Code. Sterling was also booked for an outstanding felony warrant and Penal Code section 148.9, providing false information to a police officer. Location: 3000 Block of Camino Calandria, Thousand Oaks |
