Arrest of stolen vehicle suspects

Ventura County Sheriff's Department On February 10, 2010, at 2:17 pm, a Moorpark resident reported that his vehicle had been stolen from the 4400 block of Hitch Boulevard. A stolen vehicle report was written and this information was entered into the stolen vehicle system and broadcast to Ventura County Sheriff’s Department-Moorpark Police Department patrol personnel. At 6:23 p.m., a Moorpark patrol deputy saw the vehicle traveling in the vicinity of Spring Road at Princeton Avenue. Moorpark patrol deputies conducted a high-risk law enforcement stop on the stolen vehicle. There were several occupants inside this vehicle. One suspect ran from the vehicle and was caught by deputies a short distance away. Several other suspects were arrested. The stolen vehicle was later released to the registered owner. A 13-year-old juvenile was cited and released to his parents for his involvement in the crime. The 15-year-old juvenile was arrested and lodged in Juvenile Hall for obstructing a criminal investigation and his involvement in the stolen vehicle. The 17-year-old juvenile was arrested and lodged in Juvenile Hall for his involvement in the stolen vehicle. Location: Spring Road at Princeton Avenue, Moorpark, CA.
