On October 23, 2012, at approximately 7:15 am, Sheriff’s 911 Dispatch received a call from a 73 year-old-male resident. He reported that his son, Craig Haverlah had entered his residence in the 2700 block of Cabot Court and confronted him and refused to leave. During the altercation, Craig Haverlah proceeded to assault his father causing significant injuries. Deputies arrived and arrested Craig Haverlah without incident. Craig Haverlah was booked into the Ventura County Pre-Trial Detention Facility, Ventura for Attempted Murder and Elder Abuse. Bail was increased to $1,000,000. The victim was transported to Los Robles Hospital and is being treated for his injuries.
