Detectives concluded a two-month investigation into an attempted robbery that occurred on December 20, 2012. Two male suspects attempted to take two bicycles from two victims at the North Oaks Coin Laundry. During the robbery, one of the suspects brandished a knife. The victims struggled with the suspects, with the suspects eventually leaving without the victims’ bicycles. The incident was captured on surveillance video.

The investigation led the detectives to the two suspects. On February 6, 2013, detectives from the Thousand Oaks Special Enforcement Gang Unit served search warrants at both suspects’ residences. Detectives located property linking both suspects to the crime.

Both suspects were arrested for 664/211 PC – Attempted Robbery and lodged into the Ventura County Juvenile Justice Facility.
