In the early morning hours of October 4, 2009, Ventura County Sheriff’s deputies responded to Dahl’s Market in Oak View and upon arrival, learned a store employee had interrupted a commercial burglary. The two suspects were still inside the store and were taken into custody.

During the investigation, deputies learned the two suspects had previously broken into the business and stolen property earlier the same night. They also determined the same two suspects had committed another burglary at the market that went unreported earlier in the week. Investigators located some of the stolen property at a nearby residence and returned it to the storeowner. Investigators also located evidence of another attempted burglary, by the same suspects, at a separate Oak View business.

The adult suspect was booked at the Ventura County Jail and is facing charges related to the three burglaries at Dahl’s Market and the attempted burglary of the other business. The juvenile was released to his parents with a Notice to Appear and has an upcoming court date.
