Burglary Suspects Arrested

Ventura County Sheriff's Department On July 21, 2012, Thousand Oaks patrol deputies responded to a burglary that had just occurred on Bainbridge Court in Thousand Oaks. Upon arrival, deputies learned that a victim returned home to find two men burglarizing the residence. Both suspects attempted to flee, but the victim was able to detain one of the suspects until deputies arrived. This suspect was identified as Dillon Tunney. The second suspect, Leodis Wiley, initially fled the area, but was located a short time later. Both suspects were arrested for burglary. Detectives continued this investigation and conducted searches that led to the recovery of stolen property from similar crimes that occurred on Campus Drive and Laurelwood Drive in the City of Thousand Oaks, Calle Arroyo in the unincorporated area of Lynn Ranch, and Stockton Road in the unincorporated area of Moorpark. On July 24, 2012, Tunney and Wiley were arraigned in Ventura County Superior Court on felony burglary charges. Both remain in custody at the Ventura County Pre-Trial Detention Facility on $150,000.00 bail. The Thousand Oaks Police Department would like to remind citizens of the importance of locking the doors to their homes and cars. We would also like to encourage citizens to stay alert to their surroundings and the people around them. Pay special attention to people and/or vehicles that look out of place.
