Sacramento, CA - Firefighters are part of the communities they serve, but rarely does the public get to see what they do on a day-to-day basis, or what happens after an emergency call. That will change Friday evening. OWN: Oprah Winfrey Network, will premiere the show “Lives on Fire”, showcasing four CAL FIRE firefighters and their crews as they respond to some of California’s most dangerous emergencies. The show also gives viewers a behind the scenes look at their personal lives at the end of their shifts. The four firefighters featured are from San Luis Obispo, Riverside and San Diego Counties.

The first airing of the series is tonight, Friday, June 8, at 9/8c on OWN: Oprah Winfrey Network.

“I am very proud our firefighters, and all the hard work they do to serve the citizens of California,” said Chief Ken Pimlott, director of CAL FIRE. “This show gives the public the chance to see what a firefighter really goes through every day, and the impact it can have on their lives outside of work.”

Tune in this evening to get a glimpse of CAL FIRE as they serve and safeguard the people and protect the property and resources of California.
