Dead Body Found in Strawberry Field Near Ventura

 Ventura County Sheriff's Department A man’s body was found early this morning in a strawberry field just outside the city limits of Ventura. A field worker discovered the body of an adult white male in the 4200-block of Olivas Park Drive. Paramedics responded to the scene and pronounced the man dead shortly after 6:00 am. The cause of death is not known at this time. Investigators canvassed the surrounding area and examined the scene for evidence before the body was removed by the medical examiner. Ventura County Crime Stoppers will pay up to $1,000 reward for information, which leads to the arrest and criminal complaint against the person(s) responsible for this crime.
