On April 26, 2012, eight juveniles committed a burglary in the 11000 block of Darlene Lane. The juveniles stole two firearms and other miscellaneous items. Moorpark patrol deputies, detectives, and the special enforcement unit responded to the area and established a perimeter. The eight juveniles were quickly apprehended and transported to the Moorpark Police Department for questioning. The subsequent investigation led to the arrest of an additional juvenile.

All of the stolen firearms were recovered at or near the scene of the crime. Eight of the juveniles were cited and released to their legal guardians while one was booked at Juvenile Hall. The investigation is on-going and anyone with further information is encouraged to contact the Moorpark Police Department.
