The Fillmore Sheriff’s Deputies interact with over 276 persons on criminal probation. In 2008, our patrol deputies conducted over 284 probation searches.

On March 17, 2009 at about 1:50 P.M., Sheriff’s Patrol Deputies were conducting a week-long probation sweep, searching locations occupied by convicted felons. During one of the sweeps, deputies arrested Chad McMaster at his mobile home on a drug related arrest warrant.

In conjunction with the drug arrest, deputies searched McMaster’s trailer and found a loaded handgun and a large quantity of ammunition. Deputies also charged Mc Master with felon in possession of a firearm and ammunition.

Mc Master was booked at Ventura County Main Jail with bail set at $60,000.00.
