Ventura County Sheriff's Department Location: El Rio, area around the 400 block of Will Ave Victim: On 12-16-09, the victim noticed that her cat, Squeekers, had been shot in the leg. Due to the extensive damage caused by the shot, Squeekers’ leg had to be amputated. Not only has this incident caused extreme grief to the family, but it has resulted in expensive veterinary bills as well. Squeekers is a domestic, short hair Tabby that was rescued by its current owners as a kitten, and has been a loving member of their family ever since. Anyone having information regarding the subject who shot the cat is urged to call either the investigating detective or Crime Stoppers.
