At 9:24 p.m. firefighters were dispatched to a bamboo and brush fire near Fillmore's waste water treatment plant. The large pile of bamboo had been removed from the river bottom.

3 engines were used to extinguish the fire. 1 unit from Santa Paula was diverted from the fire east of the Fillmore fish hatchery to assist on the fire. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
