Gang Associates Arrested in Strong Arm Robbery

Ventura County Sheriff's Department On April 29th, 2011, two male subjects confronted the victim as he talked to a friend on a street corner. The suspect(s) aggressively confronted the victim and demanded money. One suspect punched the victim several times on the head, knocking him to the ground. The victim stated he did not have any money, so the suspects stole the victim’s skateboard. After taking the property, the suspects fled the area. Within a few days, members of the East County Investigation Bureau and Thousand Oaks Special Enforcement Unit were able to positively identify the two suspects responsible for the robbery. During the investigation, it was also determined that the suspects are associates of a local street gang. On May 5, 2011 members from the Thousand Oaks Special Enforcement Unit and East County Investigation Bureau served two search warrants in the City of Thousand Oaks and located both suspects. The suspects were subsequently arrested and booked for violations of 211PC / Robbery and 186.22 PC / Street Terrorism.
