Gang Related Weapons / Narcotics Arrest

 Santa Paula Police Department On 08/09/13 at approximately 1719 hours, officers with the Santa Paula Police Department’s Gang Unit contacted Alex Castro who is currently on active PROS and Christopher Sigala, who is currently on active probation. A third subject, identified as Manuel Zepeda, was contacted and found to be a parolee on active CDC parole. Anaya, who attempted to leave the area as officer’s approached, was observed concealing an unknown object near shrubbery bordering the east side of the park. Officer’s searched this area and located a loaded, 9mm semi-automatic handgun. A vehicle associated with Sigala was searched, pursuant to the terms and conditions of his probation. During the search of the vehicle, 21.3 grams of suspected methamphetamine was located. Sigala was arrested for narcotic related charges; Anaya was arrested for weapons related charges and both Castro and Zepeda were arrested for violating the terms and conditions of probation by associating with known gang members.
