Santa Paula Police Department

At the above date and time, Mark James Martinez was arrested for the Homicide of Norma Elizalde. Martinez was previously arrested for this Homicide on 04-01-1. He was later released from Ventura County Jail pending further investigation. On today's date at approximately 9:00AM, Martinez was arrested without incident as he was leaving his home. Today's arrest was a result of further information obtained during this investigation by Santa Paula Police Detectives assisted by the Ventura County District Attorney Investigators, linking Martinez to the crime. He was taken to Santa Paula Police Department where he was booked for 187 PC, Homicide. He was later transported and booked at the Ventura County Jail with bail set at $500.000.
