As a result of an ongoing homicide investigation into the death of Sarah Overholser, occurring on November 7, 2011, Major Crimes Detectives made another arrest in the case this afternoon. James Nathaniel Wilkerson was arrested for 187 P.C. / Homicide and is currently being held on a $1 million bail at the Ventura County Pre-Trial Detention Facility.

Citing concerns about further compromising the case, Major Crimes Detectives are declining any further information regarding the circumstances that led to the arrest of Mr. Wilkerson. The investigation is still ongoing and detectives are asking anyone with additional information to contact the Sheriff’s Major Crimes Bureau at 477-7000.
