Location: 2400 block of Maricopa Highway, Ojai, CA
Date & Time: April 26, 2009 at approximately 1:58 AM
Unit Responsible: Sheriff’s Major Crimes Bureau

On the above date and time, Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call of a subject down. Upon arrival, they saw numerous people leaving a party. Fire and ambulance personnel also responded and attempted to treat the victim, a juvenile male. They were unable to revive the victim and pronounced him dead at the scene.

A preliminary investigation indicated the victim was possibly involved in an altercation with another partygoer and was stabbed. An autopsy is scheduled for this afternoon.
