A worker at the Village Hand Wash Car Wash was injured today after he drove a limousine onto the wash tracks, got out of the vehicle and inadvertently left the vehicle’s transmission in reverse. As the vehicle moved backward, the worker attempted to stop it by pushing it from behind. As he did this, he was trapped between the limousine and a Buick Sport Utility Vehicle that was behind it.

The worker, Gus Carranza, 22 yrs., was treated by AMR and transported to Los Robles ER for medical treatment for a possible broken leg. No others were injured. The incident is under investigation by the Thousand Oaks Police Department’s Traffic Bureau.
