The Thousand Oaks Police Department’s Traffic Bureau is investigating an injury traffic accident involving a vehicle and two pedestrians. The collision occurred in the intersection of Thousand Oaks Boulevard and Hampshire Road. A 14-year-old female juvenile and her 6-year-old nephew were walking westbound on Thousand Oaks Boulevard in the intersection. Both juveniles were in the crosswalk on the south side of the intersection. Marie Dena was making a left turn from westbound Thousand Oaks Boulevard onto southbound Hampshire Road when the driver’s side of her car collided with the two juveniles.

Personnel from the Ventura County Fire Department and American Medical Response responded to the scene. Both juveniles were treated at the scene and then transported via ambulance to Los Robles Regional Medical Center for further treatment. At this time alcohol or drugs do not appear to be a factor in this collision. The investigation is continuing.
