The Thousand Oaks Police Department’s Traffic Bureau is investigating an injury traffic accident involving a vehicle and a pedestrian. The collision occurred in the intersection of Thousand Oaks Boulevard and Westlake Boulevard. Ayumi Taki was walking westbound on Thousand Oaks Boulevard in the intersection. Taki was in the crosswalk on the north side of the intersection. Claire Borczon was making a right turn from westbound Thousand Oaks Boulevard onto northbound Westlake Boulevard when she collided into Taki.

Personnel from the Ventura County Fire Department and American Medical Response responded to the scene. Taki was treated at the scene and then transported via ambulance to Los Robles Regional Medical Center for further treatment.

At this time alcohol or drugs do not appear to be a factor in this collision. The investigation is continuing.
