Internet Child Pornography Arrest

Ventura County Sheriff's Department The Thousand Oaks Police Department / Internet Crimes Unit investigates cyber crimes involving the sexual exploitation of children. The unit arrested Simi Valley resident, Trevor Curtis Hart, age 47, on two felony counts of possessing child pornography. The investigation began in November of 2010 when an undercover detective of the Thousand Oaks Police Department / Internet Crimes Against Children Unit began monitoring Hart's Internet use of illegal child pornography. The investigation was comprehensive and detectives as a result of a search warrant issued by a judge seized Hart’s computer. The electronic evidence was turned over to the Southern California High Tech Task Force who conducted a forensic examination of the computer. The computer lab identified that Hart had over 150 child pornography videos on his computer. Hart was arrested for the felony charges at his residence and booked into the Ventura County Jail.
