Internet Child Pornography Guilty Plea

Ventura County Sheriff's Department On Tuesday, May 5, 2011, Raymond Rancourt pled guilty to Possession of Child Pornography in Ventura Superior Court, The guilty plea came at the conclusion of an investigation conducted by the Thousand Oaks Police Department / Internet Crimes Against Children / Southern California High Tech Task Force and the FBI SAFE Team. This lengthy investigation began in October 2010 when it was discovered that Rancourt had been downloading and possessing known child pornography. A search warrant was served at his residence and child pornography was found on his computer. Rancourt will face felony incarceration up to one year in jail, probation and mandatory Sex Offender (290PC) registration. His sentencing will be in Ventura Superior Court on June 29, 2011.
