Jail Visiting to be Canceled During Renovations at Pre-Trial Detention Facility

 Ventura County Sheriff's Department Jail visits will be canceled for four days this month due to renovations in the lobby of the Pre-Trial Detention Facility in Ventura. All public visiting will be canceled from September 18, 2012, through September 21, 2012. This will not affect visits by attorneys or other professionals. The Sheriff’s Office would like the public to be aware of the impact of the visiting cancelation, so friends and relatives of inmates can plan accordingly. Notice of the cancelation will also be posted on the Sheriff’s Office website at www.vcsd.org The cancelation will not affect regular visiting schedules at the Todd Road Jail or the East County Jail. As always, people are encouraged to check the website to confirm an inmate’s location and the corresponding visiting schedule prior to arriving at any of our jail facilities.
