Man killed in shooting outside Thousand Oaks business

Ventura County Sheriff's Department A local man was shot and killed outside a motorcycle repair shop Monday afternoon. The 45-year-old victim collapsed in the parking lot after being confronted by another man who was armed with a handgun. Witnesses described hearing several shots in what was a very public shooting in a busy light industrial area where many automotive repair businesses are located. Investigators have learned that the victim and the shooter knew each other, and the shooting was not a random act. Investigators have identified the following individual as a person of interest in this case: Daniel Charles Wildman Wildman is believed to be driving a silver, 1990 Nissan sports coupe with a California license number of 6BCT674. Wildman should be considered armed, and anyone who locates him should immediately call 9-1-1 or contact the Ventura County Sheriff’s Department at (805)654-9511. Ventura County Crime Stoppers will pay up to $1,000 reward for information that leads to the arrest and criminal complaint against the person(s) responsible for this crime.
