Marijuana cultivation investigation

Ventura County Sheriff's Department Ojai Patrol Deputies became aware of illegal marijuana sales advertised on Craigslist. The seller was contacted and arrested for a misdemeanor warrant. An illegal marijuana cultivation was discovered in the suspect’s residence. On 5/28/2013, Ojai Patrol Deputies saw an advertisement on Craigslist offering marijuana for sale. Through investigation, deputies were able to identify the seller, William Pollick, and found he had a misdemeanor warrant for his arrest. Pollick was contacted at his residence in the 400 Block of Mesa St in the community of Meiner’s Oaks. At this time deputies found one room of the residence contained a sophisticated marijuana growing operation with 21 marijuana plants. Narcotics Detectives were summoned and a Search Warrant was obtained for the residence. Pollick was subsequently arrested for the misdemeanor warrant and cultivation of marijuana.
