In the early morning hours, detectives from the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office, with the assistance of the Oxnard Police Department and the Ventura Police Department, served search warrants and conducted probation searches at eight different locations in the cities of Ventura and Oxnard. This operation was conducted in reference to the ongoing homicide investigation in the unincorporated community of Saticoy on 6-27-12.

As a result of the operation, investigators seized ammunition, several guns, arrested two people for being under the influence of a controlled substance, and arrested one person for sales of a controlled substance. Investigators also seized various items of gang paraphernalia.

The homicide investigation is ongoing. The names of the arrested subjects will not be released due to the nature of the investigation. Anyone with information regarding the homicide is encouraged to call the Ventura County Crime Stoppers phone number below.
