On May 1, 2013, at approximately 1200 hours, deputies responded to a check the well-being call for service. When deputies and fire personnel arrived on scene, there were two adults confirmed to be deceased at the residence.

After a thorough investigation was conducted by Major Crimes/ East County Investigations and the Medical Examiner, the deaths of the two adults were consistent with a mutual double suicide pending the Medical Examiners completed investigation. Based on the evidence at the scene, there were no signs of criminal activity. The investigation will continue pending the autopsy and toxicology reports by the Medical Examiner.
