Narcotic Search Warrant and Arrests

![]() Ventura County Sheriff's Department Over the past few months, Sheriff’s Ojai Patrol Deputies and Narcotics Investigators have received a steady stream of information of criminal activity surrounding a residence in the 4100 block of North Ventura Ave, in the unincorporated county area north of the City of Ventura. Patrol deputies had received several calls describing drug use, fights, and other incidents that disturbed the public peace. On 1-25-2013, at about 0800 hours, Narcotics Detectives executed a search warrant at the residence and contacted Tina Rogers and Anthony Maxwell. Subsequent to this investigation, it was determined Rogers was selling heroin and methamphetamine from her residence. Detectives located approximately 2 grams of heroin, syringes filled with heroin, and approximately 1.5 grams of methamphetamine. Numerous used syringes, narcotics and other paraphernalia were found in Rogers’ bedroom that she shares with her nine year old child. Rogers was arrested for possession of heroin and methamphetamine for sale, under the influence of a controlled substance, and felony child endangerment. Maxwell was arrested for being under the influence of a controlled substance. Both were booked into the Sheriff’s Main Jail. The child was released to the Ventura County Child and Family Services.
