Narcotics Arrest

Ventura County Sheriff's Department On 2/5/2013, the Sheriff’s Office narcotics unit concluded a two month investigation of a Moorpark resident who was selling marijuana from his residence. The investigation led to the arrest of Alexander Marvin, age 19. Information was received from the Moorpark Police investigative unit that Marvin was illegally selling marijuana from his residence and possibly to high school students. Sheriff narcotic detectives initiated an investigation which led to the arrest. At 5:45 p.m., narcotics detectives detained Marvin after observing him conduct several illegal drug transactions within the city of Moorpark. Detectives searched Marvin’s person and discovered marijuana packaged for sale and proceeds they suspect were from the illegal transactions. A search warrant was served at Marvin’s residence located at the 12000 block of London Grove Court. During the search of the residence, detectives located additional marijuana, a small amount of cocaine, a large sum of currency determined to be proceeds from the illegal sales, and evidence that Marvin was actively involved in the illegal sales of marijuana. Marvin was arrested and booked into the East County Jail for possession of marijuana for sale. Additional charges are pending as this investigation is continuing. Marvin’s bail is set at $50,000 and he is scheduled for arraignment on 2/7/2013 at 1:30 p.m. Nature of Incident: Narcotics Arrest |
