Narcotics Arrest

Ventura County Sheriff's Department On 6/13/2013, detectives with the Ventura County Sheriff’s Narcotics Unit concluded a month long investigation of a Los Angeles County resident who was selling illegal narcotics to Ventura County residents. Detectives arrested Robert James Heitz, age 45, after he left his residence located in Agoura Hills. A search warrant was served at Heitz’ residence where detectives seized two ounces of heroin, three ounces of marijuana, a half ounce of cocaine and a half ounce of methamphetamine. A small marijuana grow was also discovered inside the residence. Additionally, detectives seized a significant amount of currency they determined to be proceeds from illegal drugs sales and evidence Heitz was actively involved in the illegal sales of narcotics. Heitz was booked at the Ventura County Main Jail in Ventura for violations of sales of heroin, possession for sales of heroin, cocaine, methamphetamine and marijuana. Heitz’s bail is pending review at $250,000.00 He is scheduled to appear in Ventura County Superior Court for arraignment on 6/17/2013, at 1:30 PM.
