Robbery Arrest in Thousand Oaks

Ventura County Sheriff's Department Over a four-day stretch from May 31st to June 3rd, an unidentified adult male entered four separate businesses in the City of Thousand Oaks. Each time, the suspect placed an order for food and then he would wait for the employee to open the cash register. He would then grab the cash.. In some cases, the employee would try to stop the theft and the suspect would get in a struggle before fleeing on foot. He did not use any weapons. Thousand Oaks Police Department Major Crimes and Special Enforcement Units began a series of investigations that identified Simi Valley resident Louis Reyes as being the suspect in all of these crimes. Investigators searched for days in both Simi Valley and Thousand Oaks for Reyes. On June 6, 2011, Investigators received a break in the case and Reyes was located and arrested by plain clothes officers in Thousand Oaks. He was booked into the Ventura County Jail for one Felony count of robbery, one Felony count of attempted robbery, two Felony counts of burglary, and one Misdemeanor count of being under the influence of a controlled substance.
