Police asking anyone with information to contact them
Ventura County Sheriff's Department On 1/12/2012, at 0139 hours, Headquarters Patrol Deputies responded to Silver Strand Beach in the unincorporated area of Oxnard for a report of a robbery victim. The victim reported he was walking on the beach when an unknown male suspect confronted him demanding his personal property. The suspect was armed with a knife. A struggle ensued and the victim sustained non-life threatening injuries. The victim was transported to the hospital for treatment. The suspect was last seen running toward the area of Kiddie Beach. Sheriff’s Deputies, who were assisted by officers from the California Highway Patrol and Oxnard Police Department, conducted an extensive search of the area but the suspect was not located. The suspect was described as a male subject, 5’ 9”, medium build, light skinned, and wearing a dark colored hoodie style sweatshirt.
