At about 11:50 a.m. on October 29, 2012, the Moorpark Police Department received a call of a robbery that occurred in the parking lot of 11 W. Moorpark Avenue. A single Hispanic male suspect brandished a handgun and demanded the victim’s money. A scuffle ensued over property before the suspect fled the scene with a female in a light colored sport utility vehicle. The suspect is described as about a 45 to 55 year old Hispanic male with black hair, about 5’6” tall and 200 pounds.

At about 8:40 p.m on October 30, 2012, the Moorpark Police Department received another call of a robbery at 75 East High Street. Two Hispanic males confronted a single male victim in the rear parking lot of Corrigans. One of the suspects brandished a handgun and demanded the victim’s money. The suspects obtained property from the victim and fled the scene in a light colored sport utility vehicle. The first suspect is described as about a 20 to 30 year old Hispanic male with black hair, about 5’5” tall and a slender build. The second suspect is described as an 18 to 20 year old Hispanic male with a shaved head, about 6’2” tall and 220 pounds.

Fortunately, nobody was injured in either of these incidents. As of this time, investigators have not determined whether the two crimes are connected. Anyone with information is asked to contact the East County Major Crimes Unit at (805) 494-8201.
