School Official Arrested for Child Molestation and Sexual Battery

 Ventura County Sheriff's Department On May 20, 2013, Camarillo High School Officials received an accusation that Associate Principal Felix “David” Gallegos was involved in offensive behavior on the school campus. School officials immediately placed Gallegos on administrative leave and then reported the information to the Camarillo Police Department. The Ventura County Sheriff’s Major Crimes Unit conducted an investigation into the allegations. Two separate victims, one adult female staff member and one juvenile female student, each claimed that Gallegos had inappropriately touched them while on the school campus. These were separate incidents and the two victims were unaware the other had been victimized until the crimes were reported. On June 5, 2013, Gallegos was arrested on four misdemeanor counts of child molestation and one misdemeanor count of sexual battery. Gallegos was booked into the Ventura County Pre-Trial Detention Facility on $30,000.00 bail. He is scheduled to appear in Ventura County Superior Court on June 6, 2013. The Ventura County Sheriff’s Office would like to point out that Oxnard Union High School District officials fully cooperated with the investigation in a desire to learn the truth about these allegations.
