Santa Paula Police Department

On 9-29-13 at approximately 1230 hours, Santa Paula Police responded to a report of shots fired in the area of Santa Barbara St. and Dean Dr. Officers arrived on scene and determined there were no victims. Several spent casings were recovered at the scene. A light colored truck and a dark compact vehicle were seen driving from the scene however, it is unknown if the vehicles were involved in the shooting. While searching the scene, Officers also located a 9mm handgun which did not appear to have been used in the shooting. The shooting is under investigation and anyone with information is encouraged to contact the Santa Paula Police Dept. Detectives Unit at 525-4474.
