On December 19, 2012, Camarillo detectives arrested three Camarillo High School students for conspiracy and burglary. Between September 2012 and November 2012, seventeen different Camarillo High School students reported that their gym lockers had been broken into and their cellular telephones and other expensive electronic equipment had been stolen.

Camarillo detectives and Camarillo High’s School Resource Officer, conducted their investigation and interview of several students at the school. Detectives learned that the school issues the gym locks to the students and the school maintains a list of the lock combinations. One of the juveniles arrested, was able to obtain the list of combinations and coordinated with the other two juveniles to commit the burglaries of the lockers while the victims were participating in gym class. Most of the stolen property has been recovered.

The three juveniles were cited and released to their parents pending their court hearings.
