Narrative:
On 02-07-10, at about 5:03 PM, Thousand Oaks Police responded to Tri County Landscape in the City of Thousand Oaks to investigate a commercial burglary and the theft of a vehicle. The owner of the business reported six vehicles burglarized and the theft of a 1995 International Harvester Co. dump truck. Patrol deputies at the scene contacted Sheriff’s communications and had a broadcast sent out to patrol units in the area that included the description of the stolen vehicle.

At about 5:15 PM, Deputy Bryan Baker, assigned to the Moorpark Sheriff’s Station was traveling westbound on Highway 118 in Simi Valley when he observed the stolen dump truck traveling eastbound on Highway 118. Sheriff’s deputies, with the assistance of the Simi Valley Police Department, took the driver of the vehicle into custody. The stolen landscape equipment, valued at about $20,000.00, was recovered in the rear of the stolen dump truck.

Delfino Arellano was booked at the East Valley Sheriff’s Station for vehicle burglary, grand theft auto and possession of stolen property.
