On October 18, 2009, at approximately 12:28 PM, the Ventura County Sheriff’s Department responded to Mugu Rock/Pacific Coast Highway, reference a person not breathing. Ventura County Fire Department and Gold Coast Ambulance also responded. The first emergency personnel were on scene at 12:30 PM. CPR was initiated immediately and continued until the victim was pronounced dead at 12:54 PM.

The death was suspicious in nature, so the Ventura County Sheriff’s Department’s Major Crimes Unit is investigating.

The identity of the deceased is not being released at this time, pending notification of his next of kin.
