Theft from Vehicle Arrests

Ventura County Sheriff's Department Location: Thousand Oaks, Ca (S)uspects, (V)ictims, (W)itnesses Address Age After a two-week investigation, two juveniles were arrested by Thousand Oaks Police Detectives for stealing valuables out of unlocked, parked vehicles. The crimes were occurring in residential areas and apartment complexes during the day, and at night. After the thefts, the juveniles would take credit cards they had stolen and use them at local stores and at stores in the San Fernando Valley. The juveniles arrested were on probation for committing similar crimes. At the time of their arrest, they were also found to be in possession of numerous items of stolen property taken from recent thefts in the Thousand Oaks area. Several pieces of electronic equipment, credit cards and backpacks were among the items in their possession. Both juveniles were arrested for multiple felony charges related to the recent crimes. Thousand Oaks Police would like to remind residents to lock their vehicles and take valuables inside their homes to reduce the risk of theft. |
