Three masked suspects take over Thousand Oaks bank

Ventura County Sheriff's Department Location: Bank of America 2012 E. Avenida De Los Arboles, Thousand Oaks Three masked men stormed into the Bank of America on Avenida De Los Arboles Wednesday evening, ordering customers and employees to the floor. Nobody was injured during the heist, and all three men fled the bank within minutes carrying off an undisclosed amount of cash. At least one of the suspects was armed with a handgun. The investigation is being handled by the Sheriff’s Department’s Major Crimes Unit in conjunction with the FBI. Anyone with information about the identity of the suspects or their whereabouts is asked to contact Detective Jon Smith at (805)494-8201, or the Ventura office of the FBI at (805)642-3995. Ventura County Crime Stoppers will pay up to $1,000 reward for information, which leads to the arrest and criminal complaint against the person(s) responsible for this crime.
