By Ventura County Sheriff Department — Tuesday, May 25th, 2010
Ventura County Sheriff's Department On 5-19-10 at about 1:30 p.m., Thousand Oaks patrol deputies responded to a call of a robbery that had just occurred in the 2800 block of North Moorpark Road in Thousand Oaks. Once deputies arrived, they learned that a male juvenile had approached two adults who were filling up their vehicle with gasoline. The juvenile simulated a handgun and demanded that the two adults give him their money. After taking the money from the two adults at the gas station, the juvenile went to a second location in the same area, and there contacted another male adult who was sitting in his vehicle. The juvenile again simulated a handgun and demanded money from that adult. After taking the money from the adult, the juvenile ran away. None of the victims were injured during the robberies. The male juvenile was later identified from a video surveillance recording, then located at his residence and taken into custody. The juvenile was subsequently booked and is currently being held at the Ventura County Juvenile Hall facility on three counts of 211 P.C.-Robbery.
